Missouri Ballet Theatre is excited to announce the addition of a special performance of “The Nutcracker” to benefit
Wings of Hope on Sunday, December 18th at 6:00 pm. Fifty percent of the profits on all ticket sales for this performance will be donated to Wings of Hope to support this important St. Louis based charity that delivers miracles worldwide. 

 

Wings of Hope is based in Chesterfield, Missouri and was nominated for the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize. They have 155 bases in 46 countries: “Where there are Wings, there is Hope!” 

 

Wings of Hope, which was “founded by four St. Louis businessmen in 1962, is recognized as the oldest and largest volunteer, humanitarian, aviation-based charity in the world. It focuses on supplying resources to raise the poor to a level of self sufficiency in 42 countries.”

Also, Wings of Hope’s Medical Air Transport Program operates out of Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield, MO. They provide transportation by air ambulance to patients lacking funds or insurance coverage to get the institution with the sophisticated care they need. Often times the patient is a child with problems that requires multiple surgeries. The Wings of Hope Medical Air Transport is made available to them for all treatments.
