Missouri Ballet Theatre’s Pointe Shoe Fund

CHIP IN 10 TO KEEP US ON OUR TOES

Like paintbrushes to an artist, pointe shoes play an integral part in a professional ballet dancer’s ability to realize their artistic vision. A ragged and uneven brush can impede the flow of paint to canvas, and the condition of a dancer’s shoes can influence the quality of a performance.

Pointe shoes are expensive at $75 or more a pair, and wear out quickly.

It is not uncommon for a professional dancer to go through one or more pairs in a week, 4 or more pairs in a month, and at least 40 pairs in a year.

That adds up to  $300 a month or $3000 a year-for one dancer!

YOU can make a difference.

YOU can provide the tools that will support Missouri Ballet Theatre’s dancers so that they can continue to enrich our community  through  innovative and collaborative dance.

Be a part of our vision. Chip in, and when you attend a Missouri Ballet Theatre performance, you’ll know that an integral part of keeping each dancer on her toes is you!
